There is a famous puzzle that challenges the player to link all 9 dots with only 4 straight lines, without lifting the pen. Most people make a few failed attempts before they get it right (sometimes even if they have seen it before). The insight that we learn from this simple puzzle is that sometimes we have to think outside the box in order to solve a problem.
